2018年跟環境議題相關的國際日主題如下，環境教育場所與人員可以依據各主題擬定、挑選適當的教材或活動在適當的時機對民眾宣導：

世界濕地日（2018/02/02）：濕地與永續城市

世界野生動植物日（2018/03/03）：大貓：受脅的掠食動物
World Wildlife Day: 3 March 2018. ‘Big cats: predators under threat’ is the slogan announced by CITES Secretariat, the UN General Assembly designated facilitator of this global event.

國際森林日（2018/03/21）：造林促進永續城市發展
International Day of Forests: 21 March 2018. Theme: Forests and Sustainable Cities. This year it will highlight the importance of wood energy in improving people’s lives, powering sustainable development and mitigating climate change.

愈來愈多人居住在都市，預計2050年以前，將有60億或70%的地球人口住在市區，不過快速都市化不應該連帶衍生出大量污染的市區。樹木與市區森林可以綠化城市，降低熱溫、過濾空氣污染、減緩氣候變遷效應，讓人們生活得更健康快樂。

More people live in cities than ever before and by 2050, 6 billion people or as much as 70% of the global population is expected to live in urban areas. But rapid urbanization does not need to result in polluted urban sprawl. Trees and urban forests can make our cities greener, healthier and happier places to live by cooling the air, filtering out harmful pollutants and mitigating the effects of climate change. 

世界水資源日（2018/03/22）：以自然為師
World Water Day: 22 March 2018. The theme for World Water Day 2018 is ‘Nature for Water’ – exploring nature-based solutions to the water challenges we face in the 21st century.

世界地球日（2018/04/22）：終結塑膠污染
Earth Day: 22 April 2018. It will focus on fundamentally changing human attitude and behavior about plastics and catalyzing a significant reduction in plastic pollution.
